DIVISION 05 - METALS
5010: METAL MATERIALS
-
Metals include iron, aluminum, copper, zinc, tin, and lead. Many of the metals that we utilize even now are alloys.
-
Alloys are created by fusing two or more metals. They can also merge a metal and a nonmetal.
5100: STRUCTURAL METAL FRAMING
· Metal fabrication is the technique of shaping sheet metal as well as other flat metals to fit specific shapes.
· The procedure begins with sheet metal that is about a ¼ of an inch thick or less. The metal is flexible enough at this thickness to take on various shapes.
5200: METAL JOISTS
-
Metal joists are horizontal structural elements that support the floor, ceiling, and roof assemblies.
-
Metal joist arrangements are formed of steel or aluminum joists, combining, anchors, and other components.
5300: METAL DECKING
-
Metal decking, often known as metal roofs sheeting, is used as a laminate floor deck or a structural roof deck. The structure will be held up by steel joists or beams.
-
Metal decks are used to support insulating roof coverings or to hold and combine with concrete to form metal floor platforms.
5400: COLD FORMED METAL FRAMING
-
Cold-formed steel framing is a long-lasting, dependable, and cost-effective alternative for low- and mid-rise construction projects.
-
It typically applies to light-frame construction in which the vertical and horizontal steel structures are developed mainly by a process of recurring structural elements.
5500: METAL FABRICATIONS
-
The method of fabricating machinery and equipment and structural features out of raw metallic materials is known as metal fabrication.
-
To create the final product, the process includes trimming, torching, adhesive bonding, machine tools, developing, and assembly. Metal fabrication services differ from hand railings to heavy machinery and equipment.
5510: METAL STAIRS
-
Steel stairs are lighter, stronger, and more design-friendly than stone steps. Steel is a metal comprised of iron, carbon, and other elements.
-
To prevent corrosive substances from reaching the steel below, steel used in stairways is frequently galvanized with a long-lasting zinc coating.
5520: HANDRAILS & RAILINGS
-
Steel handrails are indeed a good substitute to wood and come in a wide range of styles which are pressed down into the handrail itself.
-
Our steel railings come in a range of sizes and shapes Handrails with a flat, hammered side. Handrails with a flat, decorative design.
5550: STAIR TREADS/NOSINGS
-
Tread - A stair tread is the lateral component of the step that an individual will stand on, and it is an essential part of a staircase, along with the riser.
-
Thick wooden posts are the relatively large posts found at the bottom and upper end of any set of stairs.
5580: SHEET METAL FABRICATIONS
-
Sheet metal manufacturing refers to a wide range of procedures that change the initial shape of a sheet of metal in order to produce desired products and components.
-
Production stages are specific and must incorporate the proper processes to achieve the desired finished version.
5700: ORNAMENTAL METAL
-
Decorative metal is metal that serves as architectural decoration but doesn't have any structural significance.
-
Material can be formed into an infinite number of shapes whilst also preserving numerous attractive features.
5800: EXPANSION CONTROL
-
JOINT EXPANSION Control joints are designed to prevent crack formation whereas expansion joints enable movement.
-
Expansion joints, also known as separation joints, are utilized to connect two distinct concrete pours or to attach concrete with another material such as a structure.
